Pastor, Jonathan G. Pitts

Jonathan G. Pitts is an apostolic architect and Kingdom developer of this generation. He is the founder and Senior Pastor of Regeneration Church, a ministry passionate about people and their identity and transformation in Christ.

Often called the “Professor of Salvation” because of his deep fidelity to studying the Word of God; biblical acumen for scripture dissection and interpretation; devotion to apologetics; and his gift of teaching,  Overseer Pitts has taken the words “Pioneer,” “Ambassador,” and “Student” personally, and that is apparent in his life, ministries, and commitment to continued education. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and is pursuing his advanced degrees in Biblical Studies at North Carolina College of Theology. He is the author of a growing library of books and studies and a passionate people developer and builder. He is also a certified John Maxwell Leadership coach, speaker, and trainer.

Overseer Pitts serves as the Global United Fellowship Director of Intercessory Prayer for the State of Alabama and as an advisor and mentor for church leaders and church planters.

Executive Pastor & First Lady, Kena Pitts

Such a time as this are the words that accurately describe Kena Pitts. The multi-talented, multi-faceted, multi-anointed leading lady of Regeneration Church equips, empowers and encourages men and women to be who God has fearfully and wonderfully made them to be! She is a powerful intercessor, a seer and leading prophetic voice of this generation. Through ministry events, mentorship groups, workshops, and other strategically designed events, she is a midwife that ushers men and women through the birth canal of purpose.

Passionate about helping others live a life of freedom and abundant joy and peace, Lady Kena believes it all starts with self-discovery of purpose and building oneself. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Master of Science in Organizational Leadership. She is a c-suite bank executive and owner and founder of multiple firms, including Prestige Compliance which provides compliance and risk management governance advisory expertise to churches and nonprofits. She is also a certified Master Financial Coach, executive coach, and international speaker and trainer.

She feels incredibly blessed and honored to be married to the love of her life, Jonathan Pitts, and is the proud mother of Kristalyn Alysse, Priest Jon, and Jasmynne Grace. She enjoys music, traveling, reading, fitness, hot lady grey tea, and cooking for and spending time with her family in her free time.

OUR MISSION

We are passionate about people, their purpose and transformation in Christ, and providing them a place to have life changing experiences and to be equipped for the work of the ministry in church and the marketplace.

We do this through prayer, worship, word, outreach, enrichment and community development.

WHAT

WE BELIEVE.

RC Bedrocks

Family
“But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15 NKJV

Family is the foundation of every person’s life. How we think, act, speak, and operate begins with our family experience. The health of our families affects our individual lives and our collective communities. Regeneration Church is dedicated to strengthening marriages, guiding parents, empowering singles, and inspiring our children. We are a church family passionate about seeing God bless your family. This is lived out through Regeneration Church through Sunday worship services, monthly bible studies, future growth and community groups, fellowship events, and the office of pastoral care.

Love
“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13 NKJV

Love is the foundation of all that God does for us. It was His love that brought mercy over fallen man. His love enacted His plan of salvation that led our Savior to leave the perfection of Heaven to die on the cross for our sins. It is His love that keeps us on His mind as He leads us, guides us, and directs us toward the purpose and plan He has for each of us. And it is love that we strive to reflect in our worship of the Father and through serving His people in the kingdom and our broader communities. This is lived out through Regeneration Church through Sunday worship services, monthly bible studies, Pathways Growth Track, future growth and community groups, fellowship events, the office of pastoral care, Sports Ministry, back-to-school events, Jesus Did It Resurrection Weekend campaign, and Salvation Army Christmas Angel Tree.

Word
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV

As Disciples of Christ we study the Word, the truth, which guides, enables, and equips us to fulfill our mission of reaching the lost, transforming lives, and impacting communities. This is lived out through Regeneration Church through Sunday worship services, monthly bible studies, Pathways Growth Track, School of Intercessors, MIT, and future apostolic training academy.

Worship

“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”John 4:23-24 NKJV

Worship positions us and strengthens us to live out our mission. We create an atmosphere of reverence and adoration unto God which allows those in attendance to have clarity on God’s direction for their lives; how to execute God’s purpose for their lives by living a worship lifestyle. This is lived out through Regeneration Church through the Creative Arts Division, Sunday services, monthly bible studies, School of Intercessors, Birthing Room, and Gathering of Intercessors.

Prayer

“Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.”Isaiah 56:7 NKJV

We are teaching and being an example of the power of going directly to the source, to God, who gives us direct access to communicate with Him. This bedrock is lived out within Regeneration Church through weekly prayer services, S.W.A.T. School of Intercessors, Birthing Room, and Gathering of Intercessors.

Evangelism

“And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” Mark 16:15-16 NKJV

Salvation is the free gift to us as the family of believers that cost our Savior His life. Today, the average Christian has never witnessed to another person, inviting them to join their faith. At Regeneration Church, we want to change that statistic. We want to make sure that our family members, community members, and those who the Lord puts in our path have the opportunity to receive this precious gift that we enjoy, that is, knowing we are saved and will be ready to live in God’s presence in eternity. This is lived out through Regeneration Church through the Sunday services, monthly bible studies, Pathways Growth Track, future growth and community groups, fellowship events, Sports Ministry, back to school events, Jesus Did It Resurrection Weekend campaign, and community development events.

Outreach

“Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.” Matthew 25:34-36 NKJV

Purposeful, high-impact community events that serve to evangelize and meet the unique needs of the community through love. How this is currently lived out at Regeneration Church is through the Sports Ministry, back to school events, Jesus Did It Resurrection Weekend campaign, and Salvation Army Christmas Angel Tree.

Holistic Improvement

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

3 John 1:2 NKJV

“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—  from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.” Ephesians 4:11-16 NKJV

Mental, emotional, spiritual, financial, and physical health. All of these areas affect the fullness and wellness of who we are on a day-to-day basis. When any area of life is not balanced, well, and operating optimally, our lives take dramatic turns and affect our abilities to steward the Father’s blessings.  And as Disciples of Christ called to change the world, we must devote ourselves to a life of continual empowerment through education, training, and development. This is lived out through Regeneration Church through Sunday worship services, monthly bible studies, Pathways Growth Track, future apostolic training academy, and community development events.

Excellence

“Servants, do what you’re told by your earthly masters. And don’t just do the minimum that will get you by. Do your best. Work from the heart for your real Master, for God, confident that you’ll get paid in full when you come into your inheritance. Keep in mind always that the ultimate Master you’re serving is Christ. The sullen servant who does shoddy work will be held responsible. Being a follower of Jesus doesn’t cover up bad work.” Colossians 3:23-24 The Message

We are designed for and called to a life of excellence! We are admonished in Proverbs 31 that many daughters have done well but the virtuous woman excels them all. Daniel was so exceptional that he was described as having a more excellent spirit than his peers. The anointing and grace of God bring a spirit of excellence upon us and it should be spoken of us as such. At Regeneration Church, we will not do just the minimum work of the kingdom. We are blessed beyond measure and will honor the Lord in how generously and excellently we give of our time, talent, and treasure in our service to the kingdo
